I cant put in words how much i loved your short "the Excitment of a first date".
Any teenage girl, especially from an underprevileged background will relate well with that story...
what else can i say, thank you for telling it.....
I enjoyed the story and I am looking foward to more of such short stories.
Keep it up
I have been all ver the internet feverishly reading every link. I await the book.I have read Purple hibiscus by C.A. 3 or 4 times. As well as Half...You Madame, IMO are in that category.
I wish she had had a litle more self esteem in order to end the date when she noticed the type of man he was.Little girls need to listen to their inner voice more. If he can start with that belittling "teasing", and be so condescending, he will not know to stop when you say NO.
Date rape happens all the time because of naive girls who choose to remain naive, and men who do not know NO means NO.90% of the time, date rape can be avoided if the girl knows about boundaries.
